IDEAL FOR

Adventurous travelers, couples, and nature lovers

A 10-night expedition through Patagonia's jagged peaks, ancient glaciers, and gaucho culture — witnessed from the comfort of world-class wilderness lodges. This tailor-made Patagonia itinerary is built for travelers who want raw, untamed beauty alongside serious luxury.

Overview

Patagonia luxury travel is unlike anything else on the planet. Straddling the border of Argentina and Chile at the southern tip of South America, this vast wilderness of granite towers, ancient glaciers, and wind-swept steppe offers a landscape so dramatic it feels almost cinematic. Yet for all its raw power, Patagonia has quietly become home to some of the world's finest wilderness lodges — places where bespoke itineraries meet untamed nature.

This tailor-made Patagonia itinerary is designed for discerning travelers who refuse to choose between adventure and comfort. Every day brings a new expedition — trekking beneath the iconic Torres del Paine, navigating turquoise lakes by private boat, or riding horseback across the steppe with local gauchos — and every evening ends with a glass of Argentine Malbec beside a crackling fire.

Who This Journey Is For

This journey is ideal for couples seeking a meaningful adventure, photographers chasing once-in-a-lifetime light, and nature lovers who want private guided experiences in Patagonia without sacrificing luxury. It's also well suited for milestone celebrations — a 50th birthday, an anniversary, or simply the trip you've been promising yourself for years.

Whether you're an experienced trekker or prefer gentler walks with stunning viewpoints, your Haute Black advisor tailors every day to your fitness level, interests, and pace. No two Patagonia journeys we create are the same.

Sample 10‑Day Itinerary

Days 1–2: Arrive Buenos Aires

Touch down in Argentina's capital. A night at the Alvear Palace Hotel, a private city tour of San Telmo and La Boca, and dinner at a closed-door parrilla recommended by your advisor.

Days 3–5: Torres del Paine, Chile

Fly south to Punta Arenas and transfer to Torres del Paine. Three days of private guided treks — the Base Torres trail, Grey Glacier kayaking, and Lago Nordenskjöld viewpoints. Stay at Awasi Patagonia with a fully personalized schedule.

Days 6–7: Estancia & Gaucho Country

Cross into Argentine Patagonia for two nights at a working estancia. Horseback riding across the steppe, lamb asado cooked over an open fire, and star-gazing in some of the darkest skies on Earth.

Days 8–9: Perito Moreno & El Calafate

Private boat charter to the face of Perito Moreno glacier — one of only three advancing glaciers in the world. Explore the walkways, listen to the thunderous calving, and enjoy a private picnic with glacier views.

Day 10: Departure via Buenos Aires

Morning flight to Buenos Aires for your international connection, or extend with two nights in Mendoza wine country or the Atacama Desert in Chile.

This is a starting point. Your advisor will customize every detail — hotels, pacing, experiences, and extensions — around how you like to travel.

Best Time to Visit

The ideal window for Patagonia luxury travel is November through March, with December through February offering the warmest temperatures (averaging 10–18°C) and the longest days — up to 17 hours of daylight. This is prime trekking and wildlife season.

October and March are excellent shoulder months: fewer visitors, more lodge availability, and extraordinary light for photography. Patagonia's weather is famously changeable — your lodge and guides are equipped for every condition, and part of the magic is watching four seasons unfold in a single afternoon.

Haute Black partners with Patagonia's most exceptional properties. Awasi Patagonia offers fourteen private villas, each with a dedicated guide and 4×4 vehicle — no fixed schedules, no shared excursions.
