The Journey

Your Itinerary

Chapter 01

Chapter 01 — Istanbul & The Ottoman Empire

Arrive in Istanbul and step into one of the world's great cities. A privately guided tour through Sultanahmet reveals the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque before descending into the ancient cisterns of Yerebatan Sarayi. Rooftop access above the Grand Bazaar, a cross-continental culinary tour from the European shores of Karakoy to the Asian markets of Kadikoy, and a private luxury cruise along the Bosphorus complete your time in this endlessly captivating city.

Chapter 02

Chapter 02 — Cappadocia & The Fairy Chimneys

Fly east into one of the world's most surreal landscapes. Cave suites carved from volcanic rock, a sunrise hot air balloon flight above the valleys as the first light floods through the fairy chimneys, and private guided explorations of the rock churches of Göreme, the pinnacles of Paşabağı, and the underground city of Kaymaklı. Evenings end with panoramic sunset views across the Rose Valley.

Chapter 03

Chapter 03 — Ephesus & The Turquoise Coast

Journey to the Aegean for a private historian-guided walk through ancient Ephesus — the Library of Celsus, the Greco-Roman palaces, and the Basilica of St. John among its treasures. Then settle into four nights of pure indulgence on the Bodrum peninsula, with private beaches, traditional Turkish gulet sailing to secluded coves, and the full spectrum of Mediterranean wellness at your disposal.

Good to Know

Questions About This Journey.

Completely. Every HauteBlack journey is a starting point, not a fixed package. Your dedicated travel advisor will reshape every element — accommodations, pacing, dining, private guides, and experiences — entirely around your preferences, travel style, and what you want to remember. Nothing is off the shelf.

For peak-season travel and premium properties — particularly safari lodges like Singita Ebony Lodge or Delaire Graff Estate — we recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance. For more flexible dates and destinations, 3 to 6 months is typically sufficient. Your advisor will always tell you honestly what's achievable in your timeframe and find alternatives if first-choice properties are unavailable.

No. All HauteBlack journeys are available without membership. You work with a dedicated travel advisor and receive Virtuoso preferred partner benefits — complimentary upgrades, resort credits, daily breakfast, and VIP arrival — on every qualifying stay, membership or not. Membership adds waived planning fees, a dedicated senior advisor, priority access to private events, and deeper concierge support.

A dedicated HauteBlack travel advisor contacts you within 24 hours — usually sooner. They'll start with a conversation, not a form. You'll discuss your vision, travel style, dates, and any preferences. From there, your advisor builds a fully bespoke itinerary proposal. There is no obligation and no planning fee for the initial consultation.

Before You Go

What to Expect

Bodrum requires a visa for most nationalities — apply at least 3 weeks before departure. The best months are May–June and September–October to avoid peak summer crowds while enjoying warm Aegean waters. Pack light linens; evenings cool quickly on the water.
