IDEAL FOR

Discerning travelers seeking an extraordinary experience

A bespoke 6 nights journey through Ibiza & Formentera, Balearic Islands, Spain — designed entirely around your preferences, pace, and vision of extraordinary. Every detail is curated by advisors who know this destination from the inside.

Ibiza Off-Peak is the island in the quiet weeks — Dalt Vila's walled old town without the summer crush, white-washed northern villages and pine-covered hills, Es Vedrà and the southwest coves, the salt flats of Ses Salines, and a private day on Formentera.

HauteBlack designs this as an inquiry journey: a base chosen around how you want the week to feel, early starts in the old town, unhurried days on the water, and long lunches inland. This is not a club-and-beach-venue circuit and it is not a hotel collage. It is one advisor shaping six nights so the island unfolds at your pace.

Stays and boats are confirmed for your dates through relationships. For the neighboring island, see /experiences/mallorca-quiet-luxury; for mainland Spain, see /experiences/spain-madrid-seville-barcelona; for the Greek islands, see /experiences/mykonos-and-santorini. Then tell us your dates and style at /plan-my-journey (https://www.hauteblack.com/plan-my-journey).

When is the best time to visit Ibiza off-peak? May, June, September, and early October offer warm water, long light, and far thinner crowds than July and August.

Is Ibiza open outside the summer? Much of the island is open in May, June, September, and October; from late October through spring, many beach venues and some restaurants and hotels close for the season, and your advisor confirms what is open for your dates.

How many nights do you need? Five to seven nights covers Dalt Vila, the north, the southwest coast, and a day on Formentera without rushing.

Do I need a membership? No. Non-members are welcome. An advisor responds within 24 hours.

Chapter 01

Chapter 01 — Why Ibiza Off-Peak

Is Ibiza worth visiting outside July and August? Yes, and many people who know the island well say it is the better version. In midsummer, Ibiza is known worldwide for its clubs, beach venues, and crowds. In late spring and early autumn, the pace changes: the sea is warm, the light is long and soft, the villages and countryside are quiet, and restaurants and boat captains have time for you. Ibiza is also more than its nightlife. Its old walled town, Dalt Vila, is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site that also protects the island's seagrass meadows and Phoenician-Punic remains. HauteBlack designs Ibiza Off-Peak as a six-night inquiry journey with one advisor accountable for every stay, boat, guide, driver, and table.

Chapter 02

Chapter 02 — Arrival & How the Week Settles

Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is a short drive from Ibiza Town and has direct flights from many European cities, with connections through Madrid and Barcelona from farther away; inquire about Haute Jets for private arrivals. Your advisor shapes the stay around how you want the week to feel: a base in or near Ibiza Town for walking and dining, a country finca in the north for privacy, or a house above a cove on the west coast. Hotels and villas are confirmed for your dates through relationships rather than chosen from a listing, and your advisor will tell you plainly what is open and right for your season.

Chapter 03

Chapter 03 — Dalt Vila & Ibiza Town

Dalt Vila is best walked early or at dusk. The fortified upper town, enclosed by Renaissance walls built in the sixteenth century, climbs from the harbor to a cathedral and a fortress with views over the old port and across to Formentera. With a private guide, you can trace the lanes, the viewpoints on the walls, and the layers of Phoenician, Roman, Moorish, and Catalan history. Below, the harbor area comes alive in the evening without the summer crush, and your advisor can hold a quiet table for dinner. Many visitors add the Puig des Molins necropolis and its museum for the island's Punic story.

Chapter 04

Chapter 04 — The North: Villages, Markets & Pines

Ibiza's north is greener and slower than most people expect. Santa Gertrudis is a small village with a church square and a few good tables; Sant Carles is known for its bohemian history and its market days; Sant Joan de Labritja anchors a landscape of pine forest, terraced farmland, and hidden coves. Your advisor can arrange a morning at a farm for local produce and olive oil, a private walk to a cove that is crowded in July and empty in October, and a long lunch of grilled fish or slow-cooked island dishes. The island's dessert, flaó, a cheese-and-mint tart, and the herbal liqueur hierbas ibicencas, are worth asking for.

Chapter 05

Chapter 05 — Es Vedrà & the Southwest Coast

The southwest coast is where Ibiza feels most dramatic. Es Vedrà, a steep rocky islet rising straight from the sea off Cala d'Hort, is surrounded by island legends and is one of the most photographed views on the island. Your advisor can time a visit for late afternoon, when the light softens, or take you by private boat for a swim stop along the coast. Sunsets on this side of the island are famous; in the shoulder months you can watch one without the crowd. Weather and sea conditions decide boat days, so plans stay flexible and your advisor confirms them with the captain close to travel.

Chapter 06

Chapter 06 — Ses Salines & Formentera

At the island's southern tip, Ses Salines is a natural park of salt flats, dunes, and clear shallow water, protected for its birds and its seagrass meadows. From there, Formentera, the smaller island just south, is reached by a short sea crossing from Ibiza, and its long pale beaches and low pace make it the easiest day trip in the Balearics. Your advisor can arrange a private boat for the crossing, a quiet beach stop, a long lunch by the water, and a drive or cycle across the island's flat landscape. In May, June, September, and October, Formentera is calm; the summer ferry crowds are gone.

Chapter 07

Chapter 07 — When to Go

When is the best time to visit Ibiza off-peak? May and June bring warm days, wildflowers, and open restaurants before the summer peak; September and early October are often the warmest for swimming, with soft light and thinner crowds. July and August are the busiest and most expensive months. From late October through spring, many beach venues and some restaurants and hotels close for the season, the sea is cool, and the island is very quiet, so plans for those months are built around the countryside, the old town, and walking rather than the beach. Your advisor confirms what is open for your exact dates.
