Discerning travelers seeking an extraordinary experience

A bespoke 13 nights journey through Ancient Wonders to Island Escapes — designed entirely around your preferences, pace, and vision of extraordinary. Every detail is curated by advisors who know this destination from the inside.

Greece delivers what postcards promise—whitewashed villages cascading down volcanic cliffs, azure domes punctuating Aegean horizons, and ancient temples where Western civilization took root. This journey balances archaeological depth with island indulgence, beginning amid Athens' classical ruins before island-hopping through the Cyclades. Between after-hours access to the Acropolis, private yacht charters connecting sun-soaked islands, Michelin-starred interpretations of Greek cuisine, and sunsets that stop conversation mid-sentence, discover why Greece remains the Mediterranean's most captivating destination.

Every Haute Black itinerary is fully bespoke. Your dedicated travel specialist will tailor every element — from accommodations and dining to private yacht charters and archaeological guides — to match your preferences, pace, and travel style.

Our team handles all logistics seamlessly: inter-island transfers via private yacht or helicopter, after-hours access to the Acropolis and other archaeological sites, priority restaurant reservations, beach club arrangements, and 24/7 concierge support throughout your trip. You'll travel with the confidence that every detail has been anticipated by specialists who know Greece intimately.

Best experienced during May – June and September – October (optimal weather with fewer crowds), or July – August for peak beach/party season, this 13 Nights journey can be extended to include additional islands (Paros, Naxos, Hydra), or shortened to focus on Athens and one or two islands. The itinerary can also be customized for bareboat yacht charters for experienced sailors, or crewed luxury yacht charters for multi-island exploration at your own pace.

The Journey

Your Itinerary

Chapter 01

Chapter 01 — Athens: Classical Foundation

Touch down in Athens and transfer to Hotel Grande Bretagne, the legendary palace hotel overlooking Syntagma Square since 1874. Settle into your suite with Acropolis views before dinner at Tudor Hall, the rooftop restaurant where ancient monuments illuminate the night. Alternatively, venture to Spondi (two Michelin stars) for contemporary French-Greek cuisine in a neoclassical mansion.

Chapter 02

Chapter 02 — Acropolis After Hours

Dawn breaks over the Parthenon—yours alone. Private before-opening access allows you to walk the Sacred Rock without crowds, your archaeologist guide revealing how Pericles transformed Athens into the ancient world's cultural capital. Explore the Parthenon's Doric perfection, the Erechtheion's Caryatids, and the Theater of Dionysus where Greek drama was born. Descend to the new Acropolis Museum for its glass floor revealing ongoing excavations. Lunch at Hytra (one Michelin star) with panoramic city views, then afternoon at the Ancient Agora and Temple of Hephaestus. Evening at Varoulko Seaside (one Michelin star), Lefteris Lazarou's seafood restaurant in Mikrolimano.

Chapter 03

Chapter 03 — Delphi: Oracle of Apollo

Day trip to Delphi, the ancient world's most sacred site where the Oracle delivered prophecies that shaped Greek history. Your private guide navigates the archaeological site—the Temple of Apollo, ancient theater, stadium, and museum housing the Charioteer statue. The mountain setting overlooking the Gulf of Corinth remains as dramatic as when pilgrims journeyed here 2,500 years ago. Lunch at a traditional taverna in nearby Arachova, then return to Athens. Farewell dinner at Aleria, the Michelin-recommended restaurant in a neoclassical building.

Chapter 04

Chapter 04 — Santorini: Volcanic Drama

Morning flight or private helicopter to Santorini. Transfer to Katikies Santorini in Oia, the cliffside property where infinity pools cascade down the caldera. Check into your cave suite carved into volcanic rock, then explore Oia's blue-domed churches and art galleries. Sunset from your private terrace rivals any public viewpoint. Dinner at Selene, the restaurant that pioneered modern Greek cuisine on the island, or at your hotel's Mikrasia restaurant.

Chapter 05

Chapter 05 — Caldera Cruise & Wine

Private catamaran charter circumnavigates the caldera—the collapsed volcanic crater creating Santorini's dramatic cliffs. Sail to the volcanic islands of Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni, swim in hot springs warmed by geothermal activity, and snorkel at Red Beach. Lunch aboard prepared by your private chef. Afternoon wine tasting at Santo Wines or Gaia Wines—Santorini's volcanic soils produce distinctive Assyrtiko whites. Return for sunset, then dinner at Lycabettus, the fine dining restaurant at Canaves Oia Epitome.

Chapter 06

Chapter 06 — Ancient Akrotiri & Village Life

Morning at Ancient Akrotiri, the Minoan Bronze Age settlement preserved by volcanic ash—Santorini's 'Pompeii' revealing 3,600-year-old frescoes and multi-story buildings. Continue through traditional villages: Pyrgos with its Venetian castle, Megalochori with its wine caves, and Emporio's medieval quarter. Lunch at a family-run taverna, then afternoon at leisure. Dinner at La Maison, the intimate restaurant in a restored mansion.

Chapter 07

Chapter 07 — Mykonos: Cosmopolitan Cyclades

Morning boat transfer to Mykonos. Check into Bill & Coo Suites & Lounge, the adults-only clifftop retreat overlooking Mykonos town. Afternoon exploring the Chora—whitewashed lanes, boutique shopping, and the iconic windmills. Sunset drinks at Scorpios or Principote beach clubs, then dinner at Interni, the garden restaurant beloved by the fashion crowd.

Chapter 08

Chapter 08 — Delos: Sacred Island

Private yacht charter to Delos, the archaeological island where Apollo and Artemis were born according to Greek mythology. Walk the Sacred Way lined with marble lions, explore ancient houses with intricate mosaics, and visit the museum housing treasures from this pan-Hellenic sanctuary. No one inhabits Delos today—it exists purely as an open-air museum. Return to Mykonos for lunch at Kiki's Tavern in Agios Sostis, then beach time at Elia or Kalafatis. Evening at Matsuhisa Mykonos, Nobu Matsuhisa's outpost at Belvedere Hotel.

Chapter 09

Chapter 09 — Beach Clubs & Island Culture

Morning at leisure—your hotel's pool, spa treatments, or beach time at Ornos Bay. Afternoon experiencing Mykonos' legendary beach club scene: Nammos for champagne-spraying excess, SantAnna for bohemian sophistication, or Jackie O' Beach Club. The island's energy intensifies as day becomes night. Dinner at Funky Kitchen for Asian-Mediterranean fusion, or M-Eating for modern Greek tapas.

Chapter 10

Chapter 10 — Crete: Minoan Legacy

Morning flight or private yacht transfer to Crete. Check into Blue Palace Resort & Spa in Elounda, the luxury property on the Gulf of Mirabello. Afternoon at leisure—private beach, pools, or the Blue Palace Spa. Dinner at Anthós, the resort's fine dining restaurant, or venture to Kochili Fish Tavern in nearby Elounda for authentic Cretan cuisine.

Chapter 11

Chapter 11 — Knossos & Cretan Culture

Day trip to Knossos Palace, Europe's oldest city and the center of Minoan civilization. Your archaeologist guide navigates the partially reconstructed palace where King Minos ruled and the Minotaur supposedly dwelt in the labyrinth. The vibrant frescoes—dolphins, bull-leapers, processions—reveal a sophisticated Bronze Age society. Continue to Heraklion's Archaeological Museum housing Minoan treasures, then lunch at Peskesi, the restaurant reviving ancient Cretan recipes. Return to Blue Palace for spa treatments.

Chapter 12

Chapter 12 — Spinalonga & Farewell

Morning boat excursion to Spinalonga Island, the former Venetian fortress and 20th-century leper colony immortalized in Victoria Hislop's 'The Island.' The haunting ruins tell stories of isolation and resilience. Return to Plaka village for seafood lunch at a waterfront taverna. Final afternoon at leisure before farewell dinner at Blue Door, the resort's Greek fusion restaurant.

Chapter 13

Chapter 13 — Departure

Morning at leisure before transfer to Heraklion Airport for departure, or extend to Athens for international connections.
